Elton changed his song, Candle In The Wind to Goodbye Englands Rose. He preformed it at the funeral and said he
will never perform it live again. It's a very sweet tribute.

I think you are referring to "Candle in the Wind", though he originally wrote it for Marilyn Monroe and not Lady Diana. He resang it for the album which was dedicated to her later.
