personally this is of one of a subject on my personal research and there is such case where i've found the result as which been know through some news and magazines to quite successful.
my advice: dare her on a official date, gave her the challenge that most of the boys won't dare to make. give an official time for starting, a month or two, then be sincere, be yourself to catch her heart, mend her soul, fold her thought as pure fire melt even the strongest steel. show her the need of her in your life, the importance of you in her days.
boys maybe boys, but a girl is a lady if you how to treat her.

Wait a couple years. She will be ready for "boys" then.
Meantimes, just be her "friend" not her "boy friend". Do the things she likes with her (sports, etc.), develop interest together, and just be there as a friend. Those things are harder and more important then "romantic feelings". If you get those down first, when she is ready for "romantic" you will have a foundation to build it on.
