Because the hormonal changes that take place during your period and the early stages of pregnancy are very similar. During both your hormones tend to go haywire, literally and cause the cramps, nausea, swelling, sore breasts, bloating and dizziness. If men only knew how uncomfortable it can be being female. Growing up hurts, our periods hurt, our first sexual experience hurts, childbirth hurts, menopause hurts. But I'm still glad I'm a girl. :-)
