Freud states that the most important relationship you have in your life (as a bloke) is with your mother. Women with their father. He says that much of our later life is affected in this way.
He has been widely discredited over the years but, I think, the basic principle remains that we are influenced by parent.
The other camp suggests we look for bio-diversity and tell this by pheromones. It is definitely a tricky subject.

Not anymore than you can trace the reason why opposite poles of a magnet attract. There are things we just cannot explain, we just accept them for what, or how they are.

Sounds freudian... i know one thing my ex started behaving a bit like my mother and it was a real turn off, i'm not into that even though i love my mother....
Women are cool its as simple as that, if your a hetro man, maybe your taste will develop because you are experienced or .... i think its an environmental question.
