It is the best, actually...just be careful not to take it within a two hour span of meds...they give liquid charcoal to overdose patients in the hospitals, as it removes EVERYTHING...it is the best think you can buy for flatulence,..hands down...but it can also wipe out the effects of your meds if taken too soon...It is good because it does not contain any metals..like many of the antacids do.

True, but the heat can get unpleasant.
A better remedy is a change in diet. Experiment to find out what you are eating that makes you especially flatulent and reduce that dietary component.
BTW, everyone farts, dozens of times a day. It is part of digestion. The key is to make sure it is not offensive.

Charcoal is one of the recommended items. I usually suggest digestive enzymes, or Beano, and tell people to avoid gas generating food like beans and legumes and cruciferous vegetables. Simethicone has been very helpful to some.

Vegetarian diet including fruits and vegetables will decrease flatulance. Since it contains a lot of fibre, it is good for digestive system as a whole.

Try some Gas-X or some other similar over-the-counter drug with Simethicone in it. It will break down the gas bubbles in your intestine, thus eliminating the problem. I have heard that Beano works well so give this a try. Or, just let it fly!
Good Luck
