37.5 percent is 37.5 out of 100, or 375 out of 1000.

So you have the fraction 375/1000. You're trying to reduce it into simplest form.

Both numerator and denominator are obviously divisible by 5. So divide both by 5. You end up with 75/200.

They're still both divisible by 5. So divide by 5 again. You get 15/40.

They're STILL divisible by five. So divide out five again. You get... 3/8.

Since there's no number that divides evenly into both 3 and 8, your final answer is 3/8.

okay so you know 37.5% = 37.5/100 so then you need to divide by the largest number possible which is 12.5.

the thing is to find out what will get the top number out of the decimal. To simplify it you can multiply the fraction 37.5/100 by 10 so it is 375/1000 and then you can find the largest number which in this case would be 125.

Lopezjl137 is an airhead. To say you will never need algebra is ridiculous. If anything you will need it to graduate.
