I am NOT tired! Even though my back hurts from sitting here answering DUMBA S S questions, it's ADDICTING. Even answering sincere questions, just being on Answers is so damn addicting. I don't wanna take anything for sleep. I love staying up late but what would be your opinion to do if you knew you had to get to bed because you have things to take care of the next day but you weren't even physicaly ready to SLEEP! Im not tired at all. The night life, awakens me so hard! It's 3:35Am for me and my 2 year old will be up in like 6 hours or so! GRRRR. You see, staying up for hours and hours is MY TIME, MY QUIET TIME, MY ALONE TIME FROM MY 2 year **PRECIOUS** boy, I still need MY TIME and during the wee hours of the night is really all I get cause Im so AWAKE and it's the ONLY time I get MY QUIET TIME. Ever since I was a baby, I have ALWAYS LOVED staying up during the night...RELAXING...not working....I'd rather work during the day (As I already do FULLTIME and more with a 2 year old) and..

play at night. On my computer, watch Tv, veg out, paint my toes....the night life has always been MY TIME.

So what would you do? What do you think of this?

LOL - boy have I been there.
Maybe ANSWERS (as addicting as it is for me, too) is too stimulating in the wee hours of the night. I have no idea how you work full time on so little sleep with a two-year old - but I do understand the need for precious alone time!

Do you like to read? Maybe that is more suitable for late night - it may lull you to sleep!

All the best!

p.s. - I just realized what your 'avatar is! TOO funny. My two year old (now 18) would have taken that roll of t.p. and run throught the house with it just to see how long it would take to deplete! Which is exactly why I needed precious alone time like you! Time goes fast thought - enjoy him - I'd love to have my little boy back :)

It's 5:46am here and I've been awake since 5pm yesterday. I'm a nightowl too. I have been for a long time. Too get back on normal time I usually stay up as long as possible doing stuff until I can go to sleep for 12 or 14 hours. Then slowly start getting back to normal time. First waking up at 4am. Then 5am. Then 7am. Then 9am. It takes time and a good alarm clock, but even then I still turn the alarm off.

You need to get your sleep so you will be in great form to take care of that beautiful little boy. I am not tired sometimes but I know I have to get up at 5:30am so I have a TV in my room. I watch TV, set the timer for 45 minutes and fall asleep. Then I wake up refreshed the next day.

You have to sleep sometime. It may be some sort of a physical/psychological problem also. There was a show on TV about an entire family practially, the father and two of the kids, who fell asleep as soon as it started getting dark. This was not something they had any control over, so they had to make sure they were home before dark otherwise they'd drop in their tracks wherever they happened to be. In the winters they had to be home by about 4PM; in summers they could stay up later. They were wide awake by 3AM. Sort of opposite of you.

Sleep is so important. It is what gets your body functioning properly, if you don't have enough of it - your skin will start looking pasty, your organs struggle to function at peek condition and your immune system shuts down.

Have a hot bath, drink a cup of warm milk and snuggle up in bed.

it is just ok for as long your health is not affected. you said you have a two-year old boy to take good care... what if your body weakened?... who would take good care of your child? so give time to sleep early. beat down that addiction.

If i dont sleep, my complexion gets screwed... well, if you're okay with getting a few hours of sleep and if it doesnt interfere with your health, then i dont see what the problem is...
