What kind of story? Maybe you can write a story about people that suffers from a lack of inspiration. Because right now u are not sooo inspirated, but u know what u going through, what happens when u are not inspirited, the feelings that u feel and so on. Maybe u can even use this book for mental healing.

O' Henry is considered as the master of plots. Once He was sitting in a hotel having a cup of tea a journalist asked him from where he got these ideas, he answered, " from every day life, i can write a story even about this tea-bill; he wrote the story which became a master-piece. Observation is the key to inpiration; observe to such a level that your observation becomes you experience; the same try to look at your experiences objectively. Pick up a diary, go in the city, oserve life, roam about here and there untill the city comes into you. Listen to the people talking, look at their dresses, take notes and come home. Then lie in the bed & try to empty ur mind. You'll see that you are having so many inspirations. Pick up the most fasinating one and start writing without making any long introductions. Nomenclature is very important in writing a story. You can contact me at "munirfayyaz@hotmail.com" if u cosider my words.

There are websites for writers that offer daily inspirations or plot blurbs. We do it on my website every day. All it is is taking something really basic, like a stray cat, and turning into a story. There are stories in everything around you, you just have to start writing them.

I'm writing a story at the moment too, and at first I didn't know what to write about, but i just thought about all the books that I've ever read and taken good ideas and plots that i liked and put them into my story. And one of my main characters is a girl with silver hair and has a perfect memory.

circular stories work really well.
End the story describing the same situation that you opened the story with.
The book The Outsiders By S.E. Hinton. was the first book I came across using this technique.
The sentence is at the beginning and the end of the book is:
"When I stepped out of the darkened theater, I had two things on my mind, Paul Newman and a ride home.
This quirk has stuck in my mind ever since I saw it in print.
I have seen examples of this technique done in many other stories.
It really works to tie a story together

I often get good ideas by going for a walk. I also love to people watch at parks, malls or on the bus. Sometimes it helps to get out of your usual comforts and open up to the world around you.

I thinks u can try to write the story about your parent. I mean how hard and strong, love your parent with you. they must have something interested. "How they meet?", " How about their childhood?" If u write that, you will be proud about yourself and will be think "How it could happened??" or something bad from that.
Thanks anyway,
