When he was just enjoying a relaxing weekend break? What reason could he possibly have for costing the rescue services £10,000 and all that heartache for his family?! I'm intrigued!

he has something missing upstairs.
I don't think we should be too worried about the monetary effect, what about the emotional effects to all involved.
He does need to get help.

Are you kidding? Before the story broke the tabloids would have been queuing up with their chequebooks open, all ready and willing to outbid each other to buy his story. Heroic Survival Against The Odds stories typically fetch fifty, maybe sixty grand before interest fizzles out, double that if the hero in question is a heroine with big boobs. That last bit is in no way metophorical nor an attempt at "humour", by the way.

Goodness knows what he`s playing at ! But i hope he gets a hefty bill through his door for all this expensive inconvenience , as a taxpayer i aint happy to contribute towards the rescue efforts .

Maybe he got himself into a position where he was worried what his family would think and one little lie turned into a big expensive lie that he could not get out of! Either that or he is mental.

they guy should be made to foot the bill and it just goes to prove that search and rescue had a good reason not to be able to find him in the water during there search they did their jobs right he just wasn't there to be found!

He had hoarded up 122 pounds of bread crusts and he needed some time alone so that he could finish all of it himself. He REALLY wanted his hair to curl!
