Two Jim Croce songs...where the character gets messed up. I REALLY want an opinion on who was hurt worse???
Big Jim was "cut in about a hundred places...and shot in a couple mo".......Leroy Brown "looked like a jigzaw puzzle, with a coupla pieces gone"

Of course they werent real people...just objects in a song....just having some fun.

Big Jim Walker....after all the line just previous the "cut in acout a hundred places" line goes like this..."...and when the cuttin were done the only part that wasn't bloody was the soles of the big man's feet."

You get the inpression from the song that he was in far worse shape than the impression of Leroy Brown. That song he just gets beaten up real bad...IN You don't mass around with JIm, you get the impression that he could be dead. And Certainly being stabbed and shot is far worse than just getting beat up....

And they could very well have been, if not real then based on real people, Croce used to take his own experiences from growing up and people he knew as basis for a lot of his songs.

How do you know, were these movies too? I liked "Big Bad Leroy Brown" the best.... Don't know about injuries.

If you'll run threw the rest of the lyrics you'll Find that Leroy died so I think that's worst
