Are there any homemade remedies for colds? Things that I might already have in kitchen? What is the quickest way to get over a cold?

I'm not sure there's anything that will actually cure a cold, but there are many things that can make you feel better.

My favorite remedy is to drink a big mug of tea with honey and lemon while soaking in a warm-to-hot bath (as hot as you can stand it). Then I dry off quickly and go straight to bed.

This will help you to get thoroughly relaxed so that you'll fall asleep quickly and sleep deeply. You may not be cured when you wake up, but you will feel much better.

Tips 1:
A tablespoon of carom seeds (ajwain) crushed and tied in a muslin cloth. Inhale whenever nose is blocked.

Tips 2:
Boil 1 tbsp of pepper powder in a cup of milk along with a pinch of turmeric. Add some sugar for taste. Drink this once a day for three days.

Tips 3:
3-4 tsp onion juice with 3-4 tsp honey taken daily prevents cold. Tips 4: ½ tsp cinnamon oil mixed with ½ tsp honey certainly helps.

Tips 5:
Coarsely pound ginger is boiled in a cup of water till the water reduces to half the original volume, add some honey and drink hot at bedtime.
