Both the Tv show and the game?

The cartoon sucked, but the RPG (Role-Playing Game) was great! That's what people did for entertainment before computers! You can buy games with the D&D rules now: Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, etc. I suppose the good thing about the cartoon would be that it generated interest in the RPG itself, but an episode of the cartoon is no relection of what to expect from the RPG!

I spent many a happy hour in my childhood playing the game, I'm too old to have enjoyed the cartoon but it was only losely based on the game, I saw the game as more like Lord of the Rings than Disney.

The Cartoon was great so much fun that i even brought the DVDs when they were released a year or two ago.
As for the game well it was good and bad it all depends on the GM and the players that make the group and how fun you want to make it.

I found the cartoon a little bit predictable as in none of them would die, but the game holds many hippy memories of hazy days(and nights in the past(Loved it)
The best part was learning to play and the worst part was playing with people who were!

dungeon and Dragons;
The cartoon was awesome......Two thumbs up!!
The movie was alright.....3/5 stars
The sequal to the movie was lousy 1/5 stars

I never got into the game ,,,at the time where I lived it was concidered Devil worship and you couldn't find anyone to play it.
The cartoon was great,, it's replaying now on Cartoon network I think,, check it out,, it's good,,,

never heard of the TV show. the game was pretty cool, it was the first major table top RPG. RPGs are good for the imagination and pretty fun if you're not playing with idiots. :)

well depending on whether you are talking about the game or saturday morning cartoon, the cartoon was actually pretty good albeit not memorable and i dont know about the game i never played it.

the cartoon was awesome! the film was a disapointment because i was expecting it to be like the cartoon and it was completely different :( never played the game
