Have you virus checked it as this is usually a sign that you have bugs when the computer runs slow. Or you may need to change the type of internet account you have to one that runs faster.

What page are you loading? very CPU intensive pages like Powerpoint or Microsoft visio? If yes, then you need to upgrade your ram, or even the whole PC.
Or are u talking about pages on the internet? If it is internet, you should check your connection. If dial up, then change to broadband.
You have to be more specific in your question in order to get a solution.

A few areas you can check on:
1. Have your computer Scanned for Virus, Malicious Spyware, Adware, Trojan, Worm, etc and remove them if found.
2. Have an Anti-Virus Installed to protect your system.
3. Do you have enough Memory Installed?
Should be more than 256MB or higher.
4. Defrag your Harddisk
5. Have sufficient Harddisk space available as working space for your applications and operating system.

I agree it sounds like you have spyware. One thing many people do not know is that spyware gets on your computer via online casinos and porn. Now what you want to look at is your own business but I would avoid all porn and gambling on the computer. There are other ways you get spyware too by entering some contests and downloading video games you have to be very careful.

make it faster....
if you're using windows xp:
start>run>cleanmgr
try to go to: start>run> MSCONFIG
right on msconfig> click on the startup tab and disable all items
click apply then close> turn off the computer
try booting your pc to safe mode with networking by hitting on f5 or f8 as soon as you turn it on
after that you want to run an antivirus and antispyware software...
after that test your systems capability to boot if it is fast or slow. if still the same try to delete some programs that you don't need.
if still no good....restore your computer to factory settings.

sounds like you have a lot of spyware on your pc. you might want to think about loading the yahoo toolbar with anit spy, or adaware6.0 and getting rid of it. i run both, the yahoo anit-spy and the adaware6.0 2x a week and dont have any problems at all.
also, is your connection dial-up or dsl?
