The truth is that there is no hole in the human spirit. It simply is. "The Hole" is existance... 'LIFE itself'; and what we fill it with, is different for each and every single person.

People who refuse to accept life, turn to drugs, booze, food, & sex to escape. People who need meaning seek to fill it with, school, friends, success, whatever, but try to make it better...not escape it, so what do you want? Meaning... or an Escape?

The name is 'Life' or 'Escape'.

I think we have all felt this way at some time, like a piece of us is missing.

For all of us there is an individual answer. What worked for me may not work for you and it took me till I was 50 to find what I needed.

I would call it "human nature".

hedonism, escaping from something. every now and then, letting go is ok but if its constant there is something that needs dealing with. otherwise one is always running away from deep underlying issues.
