it varies from person to person, mine came through in six months my friends have taken about two years.i was recommended to chew on a carrot or similiar hard object to encourage the cutting of the gum, like giving a baby a toothy peg biscuit when they are teething it helps to get the tooth to cut through quicker.

I had a chat with a very good friend of mine, he has been a dentist for over 30 years and he assures me, 'there is no time limit on how long they take to come through or when they will start coming through'
He told me of a girl in USSR who's wisdom theeth were through and fully grown by the time she was 14. Then in America an 82 year old woman has just started.

Sometimes they don't, and have to be cut out instead of just pulled. My wisdom teeth became impacted and I had to have them cut out. Make sure you see your dentist. Some people have room for them, some (like me) don't. They were growing forward and pushing the rest of my teeth forward. If they ARE going to come in properly, it should take about a month.

My first wisdom tooth came through at 18. I am now 36 and my bottom right one is still coming through, has been for years hurts for a couple of weeks then nothing for months!!! If really painful and red go to your dentist could be infected.

Mine started in my mid teens and took to to my early twenties for all 4 of them to come out. it took each tooth a couple of years though and it was extremely painful every now and then.

Everyone is different though. I'm the only one in my family that has all 4 of them still. Most of my familys' either had them removed or they haven't come out at all.

Mine have been coming through for about three years. Every so often they'll be sore for about a week, then seem to 'stop growing' again!!
Still not completely through!

It can take years and sometimes they will not come all the way through.

It all depends. Mine were coming out for almost two years, but they were growing sideways. I had to get all four surgically removed. I was put to sleep so it wasn't bad.
