Hi nat c. Wow, what a very deep question. I imagine many people will say no, but I want to speak up for that mysterious thing we call destiny. It isn't just for Alexander the Great. I believe we all have a destiny to fulfil. It is not a blueprint, but a possibility. The seeds of endless possibility are within us all. They are the stuff of greatness and of tragedy. While we may use them we can never control them. They are our destiny.

I believe in a theory about time which states that everything has already happened, and is happening all at once... like we all follow a chain of events that already exist, but we can only see one part of it.
So, we make all our own decisions... its just that we've already made them. I think this is the only timeline senario that makes sense and still allows for time travel (I like sci-fi). So even if I could go into the future and see my own destiny (which, lets face it, is the only way to "prove" that you can change your own destiny, otherwise how could you measure that you had changed it?) I couldn't change it, because anything I did, I had already done and it would lead up to the same thing. But it would lead up to that same thing because of my decisions anyway, so no one else planned my life.

Its a tough one to explain.

no.
i could call in sick or i could get up and go to work today.
i HAVE to believe that whichever of those i choose (and each of the subsequent choices i make today) are made by me, and aren't already etched into the foundation of my being.
that said, i may be wrong but as i can't think of a way any of us will ever know, i'm happy to be!

I will choose a path that's clear I will choose free will. -G. Lee

We have free will but God already knows the path we will take because He has perfect knowledge, this however doesn't mean He has planned it all out for us. He doesn't save us based on this knowledge but by His grace alone.
