my ram is 0.99GB and CPU is 299ghz and 299ghz

512mb is quite standard 3ghz speed
depending on what or how much you have operating at once
I use 2 Gig ram really has made a difference 3ghz speed

The average comp needs a minimum of 128MB of RAM to run successfully.....well i got 1GB of RAM lolol it is amazing

These days, anything less than 2gig processor is wasting your own time. Usually, you end up having to upgrade youor motherboard, and 514Meg of memory is sufficient for any 'bare-bones' operations.
