As the Christmas day Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina showed low lying countries are at risk from flooding. If there is a Tsunami or a Hurricane low lying island countries like the Seychelles will be flooded. Bangladesh and some of the other Asian countries are also very low and at risk from flooding.
It is estimated that if Global warming melts the polar icecaps and the ice sheets on Greenland and Iceland the sea level will rise by between 6 and 30 meters. Whether this will take place in the next decade or the next century is still being debated. If the sea rises by 6 meters low lying island countries, Bangladesh and Holland will be submerged as well as the Palm islands being built in Dubai. Most of the world's coastal cities are very low and New Orleans is actually below sea level.
It is feasible that there will be another natural disaster in the next decade that will lead to flooding. With global warming the melting of the ice caps and glaciers is going to happen. Research shows that the world is the hottest it has been for 800 000 years and it is getting warmer.
Don't buy beachfront property now. Rather look for plots on the 30 meter contour and wait for the sea to come to you.

Pardon, but what countries? What is your source? For five decades, folks have been saying that California was going to fall into the ocean but it hasn't yet. What is the science behind your question?

NO. People think that the sea level will rise because of the melting poles however the ice that is melting has already displaced the water that this is floating in. I doubt the sea level will rise much at all.
