Why would we want to find him? He is a perfect bogeyman that can be pulled out of the closet whenever the American public need to be scared into submission; for example right before elections.

I think they want to, but I am sure its hard to get close to Bin Laden, especially when you don't look or talk like the Taliban...even you try to find spies to find him, Bin Laden has such a private army taking care of him....it's no piece of cake...there is the $25 million reward, but these guys are fanatics and probably couldn't be bought, and even if they could, Bin Laden family is rich....it is surprising a modern day James Bond couldn't capture him....I am just a regular guy....I bet I would find it almost impossible to find even a very public figure like Donald Trump if I really tried....and he is not running. But it's a good question many of us have wondered about for some time.

Well, it's complicated. We're 99% sure Bin Laden is in Pakistan but we can't possibly deploy our troops there without the risk of starting an international incident. Pakistan is a hot-bed for terrorists and anti-Americanism. We need to keep Musharraf (sp?) as an ally. Pakistan won't touch Bin Laden tho because he has a lot of support amongst most Pakistanis, I guess we should just be happy that Musharraf is at least pretending to be keeping one eye open.

They will find him in time, you can bet on it. The vast resources of the United States are focused on this task. Most people have no idea just how capable the USA really is. They will find him, eventually.

He is a fugitive on the run. Imagine a rich man that can't live like the rich. He is a marked man by not only the USA but Saudi Aribia and others. He lives in hiding and can't even show his face to the open sky without risk of satellites seeing him.

I'd have to say that I wouldn't want to live his lifestyle. He knows that his days are numbered.

The consensus is they are only darkish empty places yet perhaps we as people are greater stepped forward technologically then say the Martians that ought to be inhabiting those planets.
