PLEASE! This is just an unbiased question. I live in Cali and it just seems like theres more liberals out here than elsewhere in the country. Is there a specific reason for that?

California has been a hotbed of liberalism for years. They lead the country in Gay societies, movie stars, war protesters and serial killers. Bankrupt economy, illegal aliens, earthquakes. Property values out of sight. Even their once great football teams are falling apart Never thought of it before, but why in God does anyone else live there? I guess the Beach's are nice, but there are beaches in Florida

a few reason, but to the simple answer.
frontier mentality, freedom ect.
distance from the racist post civilwar south and jim crow south of 60's
the amount and number of univeristies in the state.
the abundance of diversity and ideas.
and that fact that it had ports, believe it or not but new immgrants new idea and cultural exchange are often in corralation to port cities ect.
also the media capital of the world and the 6th largest economy of the world.
but liberal thinking gave you the silcon valley, and apple computers.....thinking is our strong point.
