I love cortisone shots...but the problem with them..is that they mask the problem,..could damage your heart...and then you risk the chance of injuring the place even worse..so take some ibuprofen and elevate and maybe an ace bandage...and try to stay off your feet

I have suffered tendinitis in my biceps for years. The only thing that has helped to cure it has been resistance bands. Strengthening the tendon without further tearing it .

Thanks for the question. This will help me out too. Every morning I wake up and get out of bed, I can hardly move with the pain in my achilles tendons.

Hot yoga (eg Bikram yoga) practised regularly is probably the best long term solution. It is hard work, very sweaty and takes commitment, but your whole body- bones to skin- will thank you for it.

I used to suffer from tendonitis in my wrist, and thanks to regular hot yoga it is now cured.

Concur with rest and anti-inflammatories.
This is sound medical advice - not guesswork from nutters.
If you don't take heed you might tear the bugger, or worse, snap it.
You don't want that.
