No. It's just any easy way out of a sentence when you try to convince the judge that your act was a result of what you saw on TV.

On the other hand, by showing more and more violence it becomes "normal" to view. How many kids do you know that have become desensitized to this.

Is this why many of them are commiting crimes now? Or is it overzealous lawmakers have made it too easy for kids to commit crimes by creating laws to protect them? Kids think they can do what ever they want knowing that because of their age they will only get a "slap on the wrist".

Have you noticed that vomiting in movies is becoming more prevelent? What's next, defication?

I agree with 6milliondollarguy. People who watch violent shows and commit violence probably would have done it any way. Having said that I think there should be a limiting of the violence shown on TV. It cant be good for you to watch even if you arent prone to acting on it.

NO I don't think it haves anything to do with it. When were kids its our parents place to teach us what is on T.V. is not always real and we shouldn't do what we see. If parents let the T.V. raise their kids then thats their own fault. There is violence everyday in our society in real life that haves more of an affect on people then what one watches on T.V.

Not really, the reason for violence in our society are the idiots out there who want more than they can handle.

Yeah i think so, just start for watching the cartoons, kids calling to their parents idiots and stuff and then all the fighting ones just for kids, then come the adults combo, oh my gosh I cannot finish up an action movie, is too much for me and then after watching any karate movie or so I always feel like imitating the moves with someone, means they incite me to actually fight, so YES! LOL

I dont think so. Most people know that the violence we see on TV is just entertainment and most people know that they shouldnt do those things in reality.

lol no I just had a conversation about this yesterday I don't believe that it does people just use this as an excuse for their actions and unfortunetly they get away with it think about it our parents grew up with movies like Rambo and Psycho and they didn't cut each others throat and kill their mothers and say ohh I watched it on tv so today that excuse shouldn't fly either.

Only if you are mentally unstable already. It's no good blaming Tom & Jerry, Clockwork Orange, Judas Priest, or whatever for your own failings. The people who blame the media for their own actions would have done these things anyway, given time.

It works both way if you think about it. Television is like a reflection of reality. If you stare at it long enough you may begin to believe it is real.
