Bolero probably would not be, but say, Children of the Nation by Nas, I think it was, that's got a drum beat to it, though it's not quite marching. Songs that are good for marching band are things like Star Wars, ET, Ironman (all of these are relatively old, but still can be considered new, yanno), and of course Fight songs from schools and universities and stuff like Smoke on the Water. And don't forget Pirates of the Caribbean! Did that one in a field show.

HI, I'm a drummer, I have studied lots of drummers over the years, and recently i found that Travis Barker of Blink 182 started as a marching snare drummer when he was a kid. You can really hear it in some of their songs. There is a video clip of him practising marching sets on a snare drum along with a metronome, that you can get on limewire. Just type in Travis Barker under a video search.

the most defining drumbeat in song is "50 strategies to go away Your Lover" with the help of Paul Simon. I in no way understood the infatuation with Neil Pert, he has technical means, yet he surely exhibits that on his jazz information even as he rocks a 5 piece. With Rush it truly is basically various flare and % workouts, no longer kind or the means to carry a song. he's not precisely an outstanding drummer, he has basically bought various information and inspired various layman. The humorous ingredient is Phil Collins is a much more desirable proper drummer yet he in no way receives the credit. regrettably, various drummers do not study idea so as that they lack the expertise of what a guy like Gadd, pal rich or Dave Weckyl are doing. it truly is unlucky.
