Do Sheep and Goats Make the Same Sound?

Do sheep and goats make the same sound? In other words, if I blindfolded someone and put them next to one of them could they accurately identify which one made the relevant noise?

It pretty much depends on where you live and which culture and language you were brought up in, as to whether you hear them making the same sound or not.

When we are young the brain learns to filter noises and make sense of them in order to stop us from being overloaded.

Hence people recognise the sounds of their own language and process accordingly.

For example, ask some one from China or Southern Africa what sound a chicken and a dog make and they will give you different answers to those of a European or an American.

They make the same sound in a frying pan, sizzle, sizzle.
But if you mean the bleating sound they make when they are alive then there is a difference, but i doubt anyone who had never/hardly heard either could tell the difference. Just like recognising the difference between Russian and Serbo-Croatian.
