It's not only girl with big tummies, it's a lot of girls of all sizes. I've seen really thin girls wear 2 sizes smaller than they are and then there flab hangs over and it makes them look big, when they're not.

I think it must be a new fashion craze and I for one am not about to jump on it. What's wrong with getting clothes that fit?

I don't have a problem with people being overweight, but I do hate it when girls walk around town with their fat hanging over the sides of their trousers. It's basically a matter of people needing to look at their shape and decide what they can carry and what they can't. I'm a size 8, but I wouldn't wear a corset top because I would look rediculous in it. Same principle.

yes some do look a bit ridiculous, but it is not allways from lack of pride, perhaps they have accepted the way they look and don't give a rat's a55 what anyone thinks. after all being overweight is not the worst human fault. judging an overweight person before knowing them ,is a much worse fault.
i know that all people for health's sake should try and keep to their ideal weight, but some unfortunately have difficulties, not unlike drug addicts or alcholics. fat people know they are fat, so all this media attention and being put down is not going to help them change.it makes them feel more crap and likely to go eat another burger.so to help them have the positive mindset needed to kick the bad habits (just like the addict and alchi) , try being supportive to those you do know who are battling the bulge.

lastly ,commenting on how they are dressed is stupid , because we can then go around and find fault with other people's dress sense as well. we all have our own minds-thankfully and should be left to decide how we want to do something ,like dress ourselves. yes I am slightly overweight, no I don't wear those clothes mentioned, but everyone has a right to do as they please in that regard.

I have a bit of a flabby tum and agree with you entirely. I look in a mirror before I go out - something these other girls obviously don't do! I wouldn't want to inflict my flab on anyone else and I take pride in my appearance. OK, so I'm not a skinny rake but you don't have to be to look nice.

I am rather on the large side, and always try to hide my bulges and not show them off. I tend to wear clothes which do not cling to be but not to loose and flowing, and of course a longer line of tops which is more flattering.

When I see these girls I want to ask them if they have looked at themselves in a mirror - or better still take a photo of them unaware and then show them how dreadful they look and in fact often quite repulsive.

I know that young girls want to be in fashion and so they should, but thankfully there are quite a few shops nowadays with larger sizes in modern designs.

Let's be proud of ourselves whatever our size and not cause us to be the subject of gossip.

So you larger girls, take a good look in the mirror before you go out. I do.

Its all the fashion now. It is indeed a very dubious look and not one I would choose if I was blessed with a wobbly tummy. Although I think the mentality is still, you only look good if you have as much flesh showing as possibe. But somebody does need to tell them, its enough to make you have nightmares.

It does not look attractive. I think they are usually referred to as "fashion victims" or "muffin tops".

I think they have been influenced by advertising into buying a particular fashion without thinking if it will be appropriate for them. Such is the power of media advertising ("brainwashing"?).

It is a remarkable fact that humans are the only animals that look better in public when fully clothed.

i have a little baby flab, and i always cover up just because. If I wanted to let it hang out i would people like you should have their eyes poked out with a red hot poker! People should be able to wear what they want good or bad without people criticising them. You don't have to look at them do you?

It's the way they make clothes these days. Not everybody fits them properly, but not everyone with a bit of a tummy wants to reisgn themselves to shopping at Evans.
