Its main strength is it allows a very rapid application development (RAD) to be developed than any other languages. As of 2003, 52% of software developer used Visual Basic.

The only thing not suitable to make programs in VB are those which uses lots of processing time (CPUs), like in games, but very well suited for GUI applications such as front-end in databases which you can make much superior programs than you can do in Delphi, VC++, Powerbuilder, where you can have much CONTROL in user-input errors...

Advantages Of Visual Basic

Advantages : easy to write codes, high leval database connectivity, more populer that other languages so you can get help anyone. Can combile and emberded with any microsoft products such as MS Excel, word, etc.

Disadvantages : You have to install in everywhere . Support only up to a level, no low level functions and high level functions. Mostly support onlu for database applications and graphics.

2)RAD -rapid Application Environment-->U can create applications by using Redy components (drag and drop)
thats why applications are (projects) done very fast compared to others.
3)jobs are more compared to others.

DisAdvantages:
1)The Applications which are doveloped in vb are working only on Windows Operating systems only
2)and more memmory space is required to install and work in Vb as VB is GUI based development tool it contains Graphical componenets that need more space.

any basic can be written poorly.... other languages exist where can not be written poorly... try a classic structured language.

perhaps java or javascript or ruby or sometimes C

basic rots your mind.
