All about incentives. Give her candy if she sits for 15 minutes and studies. After a few days, increase it to 25 minutes. So on and so forth.

Omega 3 Fish Oils have been found to increase concentration and brain function. You can get them in gummy sweet form, which tends to appeal to kids. Some schools in the UK are now routinely offering free Omega 3 supplements as part of the school day.

Well folks.....That's what TV does to the kids today.
My advise to you Sir is this. Get rid of her TV.
Knock off the video games.
Keep her away from the computer.
Get her a truck load of GOOD books.
Let her get involved in sports.
Let her play outside, don't let her become a couch potato.

Give her less sugar base foods and drinks...(soft-drinks) you may find that will help, also give her a supplement of OMEGA daily. Children that take omega (find in fish) do better at school and have a better capacity to concentrate.

she's 8, that's what 8 yr olds do
try to associate the activity with something she is interesed in
i.e. if she likes dinosaurs and you want her to learn how to read, go to the library and check out every book on dinosaurs

well, if she doesn't have ADHD, better talk to her and discuss to her why you want her to focus on her studies. Don't open the tv for her but promise her incentives you're sure you can fulfill once she finishes her end of the deal.
