Dear concern Parent,

I think that you should talk to your daughter if you are concern about the above matter. It's not so nice to look into your daughter's profile just like that. She will be more than happy if you really wanted to know more about what she is doing in a proper concern way. Imagine if you are your daughter and your own parent do the same thing to you. Do you like it? However, if your parent come approach you and ask them more about their daily lifes like what interesting things they did for these days and of cos listen with open mind. Meaning do not scream at them if they did something that you might think is wrong. You may wish to let them know about your views but let her decide and ask them to let you know the outcome. (don't expect she will use your 'right' way) sometimes ppl needs to have to fall before they will learn it right. I just telling how I feel as I 'suffered' from suspicious parent before and for that I became more rebellious. Remember you are not helping you are ruining everything if you will to do that.

What kind of profiles and on what sites? The internet has thousands of sites that she could have profiles on so you have to narrow things down.

Your best bet is to check her internet browsers history and see what site she is visiting. After that you can read her email because most services send a confirmation letter to the persons email account. But it is also easy for her to have many email accounts you don't know about.

Learn to have honest and open communication with your daughter or keep your computer in the kitchen and supervise her internet time.

If you want to spy on her then get a spying software. Keep in mind your virus scanner software will delete the spying software from the computer since it is spying. That's if you have a anti-virus software to begin with. Anti-virus software is designed it kill all viruses or spying software, it does not know if a dad or intruder installed it, which is a good thing. There are spying hardware available that connects to keyboard, but then your daughter can see that if she looks. There are ways to find out depending on exactly where you suspect your daughter has profiles.

You cant. Each profile will have its own password and username. try asking her. Check the history of where the net has been. Anything that needs a username, she probably has a profile for. Good luck. There is too much stuff on the internet!

Why are you wanting to do this? Just trust her. Do you have reason to mistrust her. I am 35 and I keep track of my children's internet usage, by simply walking by at odd times. I ask them what are they doing, usually my daughter is talking to her friends on MSN. I you go onto the computer, If I know kids, and I do, she will be too lazy to type her ID and password in it will be saved so that when you get to the login page it will come up automatically. Checking out her account info will not be easy or even possible without the password because Yahoo have made it harder for parents to spy on their children by prompting you for the password that you have to type in manually. So if your daughter isn't honest with you then I guess you are stuck. Much easier to find this stuff out if it is an MSN account because it doesn't prompt for your password to check out account details if you are already signed in.

I believe you should stop spying on your daughter and instead trust her. Making mistakes is a great way of gaining knowledgeable experience to life. Let her have as many profiles as she wants as long as she can handle them.
