if he played for more 'fashionable' club, I totally agree and think Nolan should have been picked a long time ago. What does everyone think?

That was under Sven, maybe Steve will pick him but don't get your hopes up as there's already Gerard, Lampard, Cole, Hargreaves, Carrick, Downing, Lennon...and Gareth Bary, Jermaine jenas, Kieron Dyer, Shaun Wright-Phillips and the likes are waiting in the wings. Nolan should apply for the Ireland team instead, he'd have more chance of breaking into the team, and would be a great addition.

He's definitely got a point. Not necessarily about Nolan, but in general, players at the fshionable clubs get more of a look in. Nicky Butt was in every England squad whilst at Manure, but as soon as he leaves, he's out. I also think Konchesky is a good left back and also Matthew Upson should have more of a go.

Even Nolan agrees with this, but is happy to stay with Bolton. In all seriousness, who would he replace Lampard or Gerrard or Hargreaves, I doubt neither. He would be a good squad player. He will go when Sam goes.(if he goes).
