it depends each person is different my tans last forever last year i spent a lot of time at the beach and though i did use SPF i was pretty tan and it lasted for about four months! a friend of mine, on the other hand, loses her tan after about a week.

you'd notice it start fading within the first week of being inside... they don't last long at all... remember that your body is always producing new skin and your old skin comes off... which is the tanned skin.

heck, i try not to be in the sun
i'm asian and during the summer i tend to wear sandal and when it become winter, i still have tan lines on the top of my feet
