congruency.
it means same shape, equal angles. equal sides. there r 3 criterias for congruency. SAS- i.e. two sides equal & one angle equal.
SSS- three sides equal.
ASA two angles and 1 side equal.
similarity.
it means same shape but not necessarily same size. two figures are similar when,
- their corresponding figures are equal
-their corresponding sides are in the same ratio.
two congruent figures are similar BUT two similar figures are not congruent..

Congruent is when two shapes r exactely the same shape and size. Similar is when two shapes are the same shape but not the same size.
