What would your pet say when mad, happy, or sad? Mine is too intelligent to talk. He knows that I will not listen to him.

I loved all the previous answers. They made me laugh. My dog would say (mad) "sure, you guys sit and eat all that good stuff and all I get is DOG FOOD. What's the deal with that when I am the king of this house?" (Happy) "Yippee, yippee, I get to go for a walk and hopefully chase a cat and then get a treat. Life is good."
(sad) Well I never did catch that cat and my parents are asleep, so I have no choice but to dig in the waste baskets and see if I can shred up some kleenex."

Dogs are very intelligent and they do talk only they use a combination of body language and facial expression - ear and tail set can add dimension to their exclamations.

Dogs experience happiness, sadness, pain, stress, sorrow, love, anger, hunger, thirst, but not spite or revenge - dogs are instinct based and reaction based - if I beg and I get food I will continue to beg -

Dogs also watch humans body and facial language and they react to the subtle clues we give to them.

Yes dogs do talk we don't always listen.

Mine would say....
"You are crazier than a run over dog!"
Mad...."but why can't I go inside and leave my long fur all over the floors?"
"Not fair, not fair."
Happy...."yippee, a car ride, now I can sling drool all down the side of the car!"
Sad...."but why can't I have the chicken bones?"

I have ferrets and I think most of the time they would say "Woman, why are you talking to me in baby gibberish? Don't you know thats annoying! Now leave me alone, I have things to steal and hide under your couch."

Sheilah-Tequila is my cat and she is 20!
She says: "Thanks Mom! You spoil me so much."
When cold, she says: "come and blow dry me warm with your hair-dryer and tuck me into bed" and when she's hungry at dinner time she says: "Hurry, hurry".
She's getting old and fragile and sometimes she tells me she's scared, so I tell her it'll be all right, 'cause she'll go straight to kitty heaven where granny (my Mom) will be there to look after her.

It is amazing what you can hear when you listen.
