Spend less time on the computer at Yahoo Answers. Turn the computer off, get the textbook out, turn off the television. Open the book. Read it as though you want to remember the information, take notes. Imagine you had to construct test questions from the material, what would you ask. Study the notes.

How To Study For Biology

Give youself one hour (or half if you want to be really quick) for each chapter - reasonably big- and swear to yourself you will finish it. Just keep on trying to memorise everything and go as fast as you can. Only make sure you , at this point you can hold the information in your head for a little while, dont go back to see if you can remember what you learned 5 minutes ago just keep on moving forward till you finish. give yourself then a 20 minutes break as you should be exausted. And once you feel fresh again review the entire chapter from start to finish and make sure you can hold all the information together.

By the way I studied 21 of the 26 chapters for my 12th boards on the day before ... the rest I did on the way to school (though luckily for me nothing much on those were asked)

It might be advisable to write and study...or more accurately scribling the important words as quickly you can... dont worry about your handwriting

There is a special technique called Koremutake...
The syllabels used in Koremutake have been picked to be phonetically unique in order to avoid as many mis-memorations as possible. Each syllable consists of two or three letters.

I condense the information into the most basic ideas and put them on cue cards.

For bio, this helped a lot. There is no "fast" way to study, though. You have to do the work. The trick is not to get lost in the small details.

Few way to help you...

1. Draw the block diagram....
2. Memorizing biology terms by keep on writing them like how you memorize to write your name when you were 2 years old.
3. Create a rhythm or songs..... then keep on singing them

You can't do that with science, it takes a lot of memorization AND understanding.
