Any idea why Canadians are obsessed with American politics?

Do they subcontiously wish they were like us? Ive never understood this. Frankly, I could give a rats a_s about Canadian politics or the country in general. Why is the most outlandish post always from some Canadian? Last I knew we were allies. Spending a few weeks on here and youd think we were ready to reduce the Canadians into ashes.

LOL! Are you serious? You actually think that Canadians wished they were like you? You're right, you don't know anything about Canada or it's government. If you did you'd know that Canada has no reason to want to be in your shoes.
And we're not obsessed. It's just that we get a lot of American television here so we're well informed on what's going on in American politics which gives us an opinion on it. You don't have to like our opinions or even care about them. You say you don't care about Canada but it seems you've thought about us enough to devote a question entirely about us.

I wouldn't say we're obsessed with it. Although I do find it amusing. It's like watching a train wreck. Believe me, we definitely don't want to be like you. I can guarantee you that there's not a single Canadian whose heart is breaking because you don't care about us or our government. That doesn't matter to us. Your opinion means nothing. It's what your government does that matters because it directly affects us in many different ways. You may not care about us at all but that doesn't change the fact that you need us as much as we need you. Get over yourself. I think it's funny that some Americans still think everyone wants to be them. I'm not quite sure what you think we're envious of? Open your eyes and realize that there are other great countries out there. Yes, even greater than America.

We for one are not afraid to speak our minds...we dont have big brother listening to our phone calls, torturing people and other moronic ideals. We are always amused to see the animals running the zoo and that sums up US Government and Policy. Trust me we do not wish we were like you...no one does, why do you think many Americans try and pass themselves off as Canadians when they travel...because most other countries hate your guts, on a final note you best give a rats a_s we are your largest trading partner...without us you'd see more of your kin folk on the unemployment line.

We always have the last laugh...especially when we burned down the white house...remember that...we dont need stars and stripes...we have real freedom and democracy here, not the village idiot.

In economic equipment Canada is diverse, and extra appropriate by technique of a lot. In nature i like u.s.'s large deserts, and appropriate palm tree seashores human beings like guns nicely some do Canadians opt to have peace yet we nevertheless have gun shootings American everybody is equivalent to Canadians, i dont quite imagine of hating a rustic because of its human beings. there is rude human beings everywhere. universal usa and Canada are the most acceptable countries contained in the international :)

American politics affect the whole world, even though most Americans dont know theres a world outisde America.
