oh how lucky..well it's ok to feel that kind of sadness coz steve is a great loss..i mean he is one of the great conservationalist in the world.i feel sad too that he's gone physically, i never really thought this would happen.from all the other dangerous animals he cared and played...this only sting ray put an end.really sad.but you can be a conservationalist too just like steve.continue what he has left behind.im sure he'd be happy.let's conserve and save.

Noooooooooooo way,
It's okay to feel like this, I met him & bindi briefly a year ago, and i feel like i have lost a close friend!! Although i think more so this way because of his personality, because he truely was what he appeared to be on television!! all 16 cylinders go!!
You are grieving & so is Australia as a nation..
It's a totally human feeling, You can deal with your feelings possibly by donating to his charity, or sending his family a letter of condolense.. :( it's very sad, and it will take a while to get over.. and there is always going to be a part that will miss him, if not as a person, for the work he did , and the recognition he gained for Australia!!
The best thing you can do, is to defend his name, Because many people on here are giving him a bad rap, and accusing him of accusations which he didn't do!!
You can find the links to steves fund and his mailing addresss here.

Who else is not affected (even a little bit) by Steve's death? Now I wish I could meet up with Terri to hug her and expressed my deepest sorrow. She was such an adorable mate to him, from the way she was gazing at him during many of their adventures together on TV.
I truly feel for you, Terri. Hope you will continue with Steve's adventures with your very own Crocodile Hunteress

i will never forget the image of steve irwin talking to the camera while sharks were in a feeding frenzy all around him while he stood in the water...the guy was a crazy kook but he was fascinating, funny and very entertaining...i kind of felt one day his luck would run out the way he took risks dealing with wildlife but i would never have guessed it would take a stingray to be the culprit....my condolences to his friends and family....he was one of a kind and his legacy will continue as his shows run on animal planet

I think we all feel his loss to a great degree. It's the fact that he did so much, and was really a one-of-a-kind type of person who no doubt can never be replaced. He was a true hero, something rare in this day and age.

You're not crazy, I'm jealous that you got to meet him. Maybe you should do more conservation work in his memory??
