I don't have a landline at home but I do have electricity! We have two mobiles and for Internet an antenna on the roof.
I don't want to take my fax machine around, just use a mobile phone number to receive and send faxes.
I mean, instead of attaching the fax to the telephone landline attaching it to my mobile to receive and transmit faxes.
Or the fax machine itself could have a chip as a mobile.
Does that exist and why it shouldn't be possible?

Some phone mfgrs sell data packages that allow you to hook up your PC's USB port to your mobile phone and use the phone like a modem. I don't know about faxes, though. Haven't tried it.

You might want to consider using a fax server service like eFax. Yes, you have to pay/month to play, but, with a cheap flatbed scanner, you can scan your fax file and email it to eFax's server. Receive faxes? eFax provides a dial-in # and you receive your faxes via email.
