I had sex with this girl i was seeing the week of the 15th,jan.,2006 (possibly 01/16/06) but i pulled out.I don't think any sperm got in but yes it could be a possibility. I never contested being the father because i thought well some could of got in there, till now when she said the conception date (as said by the doctor) was Jan. 07,2006. I know for a fact i did not sleep with her that day because I was away. How can this be? is it possible I'm not the father and she's lying? her expected due date is 10/10/2006 which doesn't add up with the 01/07/06 conception date. I am now remembering she said she hopes the baby comes earlier which makes me thinks she knows it's not my baby. My question is.. is it possible for this baby to be mines? are conception dates accurate? Can the conception date of 01/07/2006 suggest that I am not the father?

Did you go with her to the Doctor? Usually first visits they allow the couple to go in, and also get the due date and other info on paper.
You need to find out her last period was, that add 7 - 10 days after that, that would be when she is ovulating. Something to look at: Conception date: January 7, 2006
Due date: October 1, 2006
Conception date: January 16, 2006
Due date: October 10, 2006

If her expected due date is 10/10/06 I would say the baby is yours. If the dr. said conception was 01/07/06, the due date is 9 days earlier.

It could be she wants it to be yours cuz maybe she was with someone else a few days prior.

DO NOT sign anything until you have a paternity test. Did she list you as the father on any papers for the doctor visit? If you took it out before you came, you are not the father. If you took it out while you were coming there is a slight chance. By what you said I don't think you are the father of the baby.

the due date you give would correspond to a first day of last period on Dec. 31st 2005, and ovulation around the 14th of January. So you had sex right during her fertile period, the numbers add up perfectly.

This being said it sounds like there is a good deal of conflict going on, which does not sound good at all in the perspective of raising a child together.

In any case you can do either of two things:
- DNA testing of cells from the baby as present in the blood flow of the mother (i.e. based on a simple blood sample) can tell you whether you are the father right now. The good thing about this is that it would, for example, allow you to, say, marry the girl (this has a lot of side benefits at the time the baby comes because you're "automatically" considered the father by most administrations)
- more simply, DNA testing on genetic material taken from the baby after birth, will tell you

So no lies are needed, or actually possible, here.

But again - raising a baby is a lot of work, there are stressful moments. So you had better try to sort out the relationship with "this girl" before the birth, if possible. Or else it may turn out pretty bad, and both of you will be hurt, but more importantly the poor baby will have a tough start in life.

Good luck

To be more accurate you really need to know the date of her last period and the average length of her cycle. From the dates you have given it is a real stab in the dark to work out. If the conception date was 7/1/06, and you had sex on 15/1/06, then there really is no way that you could be the father. DO bear in mind though, that sperm can live in a womans body for up to 5 days, so if you had sex up to 5 days before she ovulated, there is a possibility. Ask her the date her last period started, and then add 14 days (roughly. This is based on a 28 day cycle) that is when she would have most likely ovulated. You can work it out from there. Any probs, ask again with more info!!

I know the exact date of conception with the baby i am currently pregnant with. It is 12-26-05. And if u count 40 weeks then it puts me due on 10-02-06. But the doctor has my due date set for this sunday. They also say that i got pregnant on like 12-18 or there close. So the baby really could possibly be yours only a DNA test can tell you for sure....Good Luck!!!

If you have doubts don't sign the the paternal form til you have a paternity test done. Sometimes women lie because they don't want to be alone in raising a child and try to stick it to another guy.
It is also possible that you are the father and you are scare and are trying to get out of being the father because a child is a big responsibility. If you are step up and deal with it. And when the paternity test comes up positive that you are the daddy apologize to her on your knees!!!! Good Luck!

I have never been told the conception date by my doctor. And yes you can get a girl pregnant by pulling out... pre-ejaculate can get a girl pregnant. The due date is just an estimate by the Dr usually going by the dates of her last period. All you can really do is request a paternity test.

with 10/10 as the EDD, i figured 1/3 as EDC, so 1/7 is pretty much on target...so if you are right in your datebook, there is a chance you are not the father. pulling out though isnt a very good way to prevent pregnancy in the future, keep in mind. though thats the only method i used for a few years and it worked. as long as you have any doubt though, have a paternity test before getting into it deep!

It's possible you're the father. And trust me "pulling out" doesn't
work. So maybe she isn't lying.
