hi...fellow Australian here and I understand where you are coming from but you have to understand that the entire world knew of Stve Irwin, where as only those in the racing community overseas and Australians might know who Peter Brock is...

i mentioned it to a few people this afternoon and honestly, they didnt know who Peter Brock was until I menitoned motor car racing and then vaugely knew about it...

its very, very sad what happened to Peter Brock...but as with all dangerous jobs, hobbies or passions...you know the risks and make the choice to take them...

Australia has lost two great people in one week...i cant help but wonder if something else is about to happen, after all...bad luck comes in threes...

I think Skattered0077 is right. I'm in the US and we all knew Steve like the rest of the world, but I wasn't sure about Peter Brock until I asked further. He just wasn't as well known internationally. But our hearts are with their families and all our Aussie mates, it's a sad time in Australia for sure.

Sorry, I actually think Peter Brock's death is getting plenty of publicity! The whole city of Albury-Wodonga is talking about it! Albury Wodonga has a population of approx. 60 000

I posted earlier, have been watching the news.
The whole racing industry is in shock as are Aussies who grew up watching the 'King of the Mountain'.
