1/2 (b/3 - 4b/5) + 1/6 = 1/3 - b-1/2

(make em all with the denominator of 6)

3/6 (b/3 - 4b/5) + 1/6 = 2/6 - 6b/6 - 3/6

(cancle the denominator since both sides have em)

3 (b/3 - 4b/5) + 1 = 2-6b-3

(multiply 3 (b/3 - 4b/5))

b - 12b/5 + 1 = 2 - 6b - 3

(cancel the 5 denominator by multiplying everything by 5)

5b - 12b + 5 = 10 - 30b - 15

(linear equation)

5b - 12b + 30 = 10 - 15 - 5
23b = -10
b = - 10/23

1/2(b/3 - 4b/5) + 1/6= 1/3 - b - 1/2

2(1/2)(b/3 - 4b/5) + 2(1/6) = 2(1/3) - 2(b) - 2(1/2)

Multiplying 2 on both sides of the equation

b/3 - 4b/5 + 2/6 = 2/3 - 2b -1

b/3 - 4b/5 + 2/6 + 2b = 2/3-2b - 1 + 2b

Adding + 2b to both sides of the equation

b/3 - 4b/5 +2/6 + 2b = 2/3 - 1

b/3 - 4b/5 + 2/6 + 2b - 2/6 = 2/3 - 1 - 2/6

Subtracting - 2/6 from both sides of the equation

b/3 - 4b/5 + 2b = 2/3 - 1 - 2/6

15(b/3) - 15(4b/5) + 2b = 15(2/3) - 15(1) - 15(2/6)

Multiplying both sides of the equation by 15

5b - 12b + 30b = 10 - 15 - 5

23b = - 10

23b/23 = -10/23

Dividing 23 on both sides of the equation

b = -10/23

1/2 (b/3 - 4b/5) + 1/6 = 1/3 - b-1/2
[Mutiply both sides by 2] (to get rid of 1/2)
b/3 - 4b/5 + 2/6 = 2/3 - 2b -1
[bring 'b' to the left and others to the right]
b/3 - 4b/5 + 2b = 2/3 -1 - 2/6
[Multiply both sides by 15.]
5b - 12b + 30b = 10 -15 -5
23b= -10
b= -10/23

1/2 (b/3 - 4b/5) + 1/6 = 1/3 - b-1/2
1/2(b/3-4b/5)+b = 1/3-1/2-1/6
b/6-4b/10+b = 2/6-3/6-1/6
10b/60 - 24b/60 + 60b/60 = -2/6
10b - 24b + 60b = -120/6
b(10-24+60) = -20
46b = -20
b = -20/46
b = -10/23
