After looking at their schedule, I see them being 9-3 when the season is over with them losing to Penn St., Michigan and USC. Why is everybody talking about them winning the championship this year? I think they are a borderline top-10 team this year. Not number 1.

Yeah sure they are overrated, one game into the season and they are overrated because they didn't blow out a team in the ACC who went 7-5 last year with road wins over Auburn, and Miami. Now teams who opened the season against quality opponents from the MAC and Sun Belt conferences they have good quality wins against quality opponents right. Notre Dame doesn't have one loss on their schedule this year. They returned a lot of starters from a good team last year, which is why they get the hype. The only team I think to return more starters is Boise State.

Penalties let Notre Dame win the Georgia Tech game who in the hell is smoking crack? GT 5 penalties for 28 yds, ND 11 for 80 yds sure does look like ND got all the calls.

Here goes some advice for all fans wait until your team actually plays a team that had a winning record last year from a major conference, is ranked, or until after week 3. Penn St., Michigan, and USC are just more Wins for Notre Dame this year. Penn St. QB wont be throwing bombs this weekend, and we will see if all he has is an arm with no accuracy.

Hmm, let's see. Schedule check: no I-AA teams, no Sun Belt teams, two teams in the top 10, four in the top 25, plus Georgia Tech who only won at Auburn and at Miami last year. Whoever said that Notre Dame plays a cake schedule needs to learn to read or try watching college football.

As for Penn St., up 27-0 after 33 minutes of play and 41-3 after 50? I think that could possibly explain why some people think Notre Dame has a shot the national championship.

why are such an @ss that knows nothing about college football there going undefeated no way there loosing to penn st. they will rout them maybe they loose to mich or USCbut they won't and u suck. Thye beat a very good football team who beat auburn and ,miami on the road last year. The D played very well against the top wr in the country calvin johnson. And u know the offense will be great with quinn samrdiziga walker and mcknight. Just because ND actually played somebody compared to everyone else u can't say thay are overated. If OSU or Texas played
GT the results would be the same instead thet played Northern Ilinois and North Texas. If ND played them would u be sayiing they are overating hell no they would have killed them just like texas and ohio state did. After they beat Penn St. they will move up in the polls because either Ohio state or texas will loose when they play each other. So there u go u suck.

Notre Dame is so over-rated due to the history of the school. Come on, haven't you ever watched RUDY? That put so many people on the Notre Dame bandwagon it is unreal. I see this weekends game as being a good one, however, I do agree that Notre Dame will lose, and they will lose to USC. I am not sure about Michigan, not to take anything away from them by no means. Top 10 is out of the question at the end of the season for the Irish though.

becaue ND is just like that, the nation loves them. Its all about tradition, is they had the exact same lineup as USC this year, people would be acting like they are the greatest team ever, Brady Quinn is the most overrated college football player since Brian Bozworth, Troy Smith from OSU is 50 times the QB Quinn will ever be, OSU beat them like they stole something last year and Troy outplayed Quinn badly, ND loses 4 games this year and Quinn should be out of the Heisman running in these next 2 weeks.

It always has been all the way back to Knute Rockney and now that Weis is there they ride Quinn and Notre Dame's nuts. Being a Michigan fan I agree with you, it will be a big win for Michigan and Georgia Tech should have beat Notre Dame if it wasn't for some weak *** penalty:(

lmao" i accept as true with you . they have been a overvalued crew for decades now because of the liberal media hype. i do not see Quinn being a real draft %. both he have not confirmed me he can win contained in the large video games .yet go away it as a lot because the media Quinn is an really good QB yet i imagine they did not provide Russell his due's purely speaking purely how large he became no longer how solid he throw the ball or how pose he became contained in the pocket he's the most acceptable QB popping out of the draft if he make sure to go away which i imagine he will dam who does no longer opt to have this youthful guy .Russell is "new "no longer Quinn or ND

I don't think N D football is over-rated. They do receive much more hype than any other college football program because of their national following. Like it or not that's the way it is.

All the die-hard Catholic writers and pollsters vote them higher than they deserve. They can beat a Division 1-AA team by 1 point and jump 3 spots in the polls. They never have a call go against them. They usually play a soft schedule.

Agreed. If they almost got run down by Georgia Tech, then USC is going to rip the Irish a new one.
