Each month we have an egg to fertilize, when it's not fertilized we end up losing that egg and the mucus lining that holds the egg in place. Which results in us bleeding for a week.

Seriously people...you are too critical about typos. I'm sure you all are just so perfect and never make mistakes. Yea right.

"He owes backpay from before but has been paying on schedule, it gets take out of his check." haha flaca, i'm so bored that I looked up one of your typos. IT GETS TAKE OUT OF HIS CHECK sounds a lot like the typo this girl made.

The blood accumulates inside the uterus / bomb for the nourishment of the foetus and in case the conception does not happen till the favourable conditions persists in uterus, this blood starts discharging. The conception time is expected from 14th day of period to the 19th day. It’s a naturally considered conception prone duration of women's 28 days menstruation cycle as during this period normal ovulation occurs. Till the end of this duration if no sperm comes in contact with ovum (egg), the blood as well as egg(s) starts decaying & discharges to lead so called periods.

They have a uterus, which is where a baby will grow if they become pregnant.

The uterus builds up a lining for two weeks out of every month. If a baby doesn't get started the uterus will shed the lining, and that's what a menstrual period is - its when the lining is shed.

Once the old lining gets shed a new one starts to build up again to get ready in case a baby starts growing during that month.

It happens every four weeks or so until a woman is too old to have children.

at the beginning of every month, a woman makes half of an egg. about 10 days later, the egg has exitted the moms ovary (kind of like male testicles) it burrows itself into a layer inside the women's endometrium (or inside the women's womb, or you could simplify that by it burrows itself inside the women's inner muscle/fat). Then, during the midmonth, the women's body kicks out the half egg that has burrowed itself out of the females body. While it takes away the halfegg it also kicks out the layers of fat/muscle that the halfegg used to burrow in, and it comes out as blood. This is why women get periods in really simplified form.

god she's only asking a question.

Women get periods because every month we ovulate which is when u realease a egg to be fertilized and if the egg realeased isn't fertizlied then you get ur period, it is the lining of ur utuerus which is falling down and comming the the birth canel. if u ever miss a period and ur not pregnant it could more than likely be because you for some reason that month not ovulated
