unit wt. of steel=7.85T/m^3
so ur steel volume 12.74 m^3
thichness of wall=12inches=1ft=30.48cm=0.3048m
so plan area=41.8sqm
a) rectangular shape: length=9.14m
breadth=4.57m
suface area=41.8sqm
diagonal=10.22m
a) square shape: length=6.46m
breadth=6.46m
suface area=41.8sqm
diagonal=9.14m

You need more information such as the density of steel so you can compute the volume.

Once you have the volume, just use the following equations:
V = W x L x D The depth is 1 foot. In a 2:1 wall the L will be 2W, so just substitute:
V = W x 2W x 1

For the square, just set L = W
V = W x W x 1

The surface area will just be 2WL + 2WD+ 2LD.
The diagonal is computed using the pythagorean theorem:
W² + L² = diagonal²

So diagonal = sqrt (W² + L²)

Density of steel is about 7.8 g/cm^3
1 tonne = 10^3 kg = 10^6 g
100 tonne = 10^8 g

(10^8 g)/(7.8 g/cm^3) = 1.3*10^7 cm^3
1 cm^3 = 0.061 in^3, so
1.3*10^7 cm^3 = 7.8*10^5 in^3 -this is the volume of steel

Divide volume by thickness to get the surface area:
(7.8*10^5 in^3)/(12 in) = 6.5*10^4 in^2
This is the surface area for both A and B

A) Area = L*W
L=2W, so Area = 2W^2 = 6.5*10^4
Solve for W = 181 in , and L = 2W = 362 in
Pythagorean theorem: Diagonal = square root of (181^2+362^2) = 406 in

B) Area = L^2 = W^2 = 6.5*10^4
L = W = 255 in
Diagonal = square root of (255^2+255^2) = 361 in
