I agree, thinking the SEC is a perpetual powerhouse.

Best college football conference? The only serious competitors for the title are the SEC and Big Ten or possibly the Big 12. Actually, the Big 12 really is only considered when looking at a few of the conference schools (Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma) and their historical record. The SEC is chock full of old football schools with incredible tradition and has more wins than any other conference. It also leads the country in attendance each year with gameday sell-outs for all schools in the conference being common. However, the Big 10 leads in championships and follows the SEC narrowly in the statistics. Overall, the SEC rules with the Big 10 wishing for more. Any thought to other conferences (PAC10, ACC, Big12) really has no statistical or historical bearing.

Pac-10??????? are you kidding me, did you see Cal play saturday? they are awful, and USC lost a step or 6. You are going to tell me that any team in the Pac-10 could go undefeated if they were in the big 10? Playing Penn State, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, OHIO STATE? Please, good luck with Fresno State this year, lol. Its the SEC then the Big Ten then the the ACC, then the Big 12, then maybe the Pac-10, and that is a maybe.

I guess my response is pointless due to the fact that the answer seems to be unanimous, but I still have to get them points. SEC, By far. They have always held a dominant position in all the polls and usually end up with at least one contender in the national championship outlook for a majority of the season. This year looks to be one of the most promising for them with Alabama (Roll Tide), Auburn, South Carolina, an dLsu. Go SEC!!!!!!!

The BIG 10 SUCKS!!! It's always been over rated..
Who do they have this year really.
Ohio State... This is it..
Michigan over ranked as usual, they never win a big game unless of coarse it's one of the over rated big 10 games..
Penn State always over rated..
Michigan State when was the last time they were a contender..
Illinois come on..

It has to be the Big 12 followed by the SEC

The Big 12, you've got teams like Texas, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Oklahoma State is coming up and Missouri is still good.
