Pro-choice, a woman should have a right on what happens to her body, if she doesn't want the embryo, then by all means she should be able to get rid of it. There are to many cases when abortion is the only answer, or atleast the most logical one. For example: if you were raped by a seriel killer, would you really want to keep it? Or if your father/brother or any other family member molested you, would you want to keep the child, knowing it might be deformed because of insest?

As already stated, being pro-choice is not pro abortion! It just supports the right to choose. It's funny how many pro-life supporters are opposed to abortion because it takes a human life but seem to be in total support of war in Iraq which also takes human life. I guess the war would be wrong if we were bombing fetuses instead of living human beings!

Uh, I think this question contains a logical fallacy of the "false dilemma" kind.

If a person is "pro-choice", it doesn't mean that he/she believes that every baby should be aborted. It means that he/she believes that there should be the option. This is different from "abortion", as you've presented in your question.

Just for the record, I completely disagree with abortion being used as a form of birth control. I think there are very few situations where abortion could be warranted, such as in the case of rape, or when the life of the mother is in danger.

Absolutly pro-life. I'm an advocate for the most defenseless beings in the world-the unbornIt seems odd that, in some states, someone could be imprisoned for accidently killing a fetus by an auto accident-yet society says if you dont want the same pregnancy, its OK to just toss that life away like garbage. I fear God's judgement on this nation unless the right to an abortion is overturned.
I'm also an Ultrasound Technologist-I know that an embryo is a whole lot more than just a "piece of tissue" It's amazing how soon they start looking like a miniature human being.

I think women should have the right to choose. It's better this way than Roe v Wade being overturned by the Supreme Court, and then suddenly women will be in alleys with dirty knives and untrained people claiming to be 'doctors.' That's how it was before Roe v Wade, and though I find some things abhorrent - such as 'partial-birth' abortion and anything after the first trimester, I see nothing wrong with women choosing for themselves in the first three months.

And besides, with all of the birth control methods - the pill, condoms, the patches, the morning after pill, ec ect, abortion should be on it's way to being unnecessary anyway.

personally I'd never even consider abortion but for some it maybe necessary if they were raped, to young (I know of a 13 year old who had an abortion obviously shouldn't be raising a child). It depends on the situation but like I said for me never even if one of those things did happen to me although I'm far past 13

i think there are some situations when abortions should be optional. for example, in a case of rape/incest. i would not want to have the child of my father or brother or uncle for that matter. i don't believe in abortion as birth control either but a woman should have a choice since she is the one who's having the baby and having to raise him/her.
