not wrestlig match

2006-09-08 01:43:35 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 2

It's all acting, from the referees, to the wrestlers, unto the annoucers! I used to watch wrestling, but i got smart.

Here's a few secrets of wrestling:

#1 If you look closely, you can actually see the wrestlers lips moves, for example....one wrestler might say, "Are you okay?" and the other will say, "Yes". But fans choose to ignore it.

#2 The annoucers are told what to say by the leaders of the company, through the ear piece.

#3 Referee's time the match, and warn the wrestlers when time is running out. This usually happens when the crowd gets very loud, or they have someone come out and interfere in the match to distract the crowd.

#4 The Wrestling ring has springs and wood under it, this gives you the loud noise you hear when wrestlers are slammed.

#5 When Hulk Hogan punches, he puts his left hand on the other guy's head, and hits with his right hand on his own left hand, to make it look like he's punching the other guys head.

#6 If wrestling is real, the matches would last a very long time, and not an average of 7 minutes. And, also, why do wrestlers always look pretty after they are hit?

#7 They have hollywood writers that make up story lines, to get you addicted to the show.

#8 Wrestlers that hate each other on the show, may really be best friends behind the scenes.

#9 The submission moves are put on half way, so they won't hurt the other wrestler in the move.

#10 The President of the company is always backstage directing things, not in his office.

#11 Wrestlers pretend to be more hurt than they really are, compare shows like the old ecu to the wwe. When someone gets hit with a chair at ecu, they stay up and take more shots. While a wwe wrestler, gets hit once with a championship belt, and stay knocked out for 3 minutes. hmm.

#12 The blood is fake, they have packets in their hair. So, when someone hits them in a certain spot, the blood gushes. This is why the camera moves away, when it happens.

#13 The Undertaker doesn't have supernatural powers.

#14 Wrestlers take steriods, even though they say they don't.

#15 Rey Mysterio wins the championship from two other huge guys, that are twice his size, after the death of Eddie Guerrero... hmmm...

One More: # 16 Wrestlers know who the winner will be before the match even starts. For example, Rey Mysterio was told that he was going to win the championship, a week before it actually happened.

So, what is real:

The Injuries

I really didn't want to answer this question, since I'm SICK TO DEATH of it....

Wrestling is NOT fake, it's REAL entertainment. It started in the late 1800's and early 1900's as part of the travelling carnival. Promoters did (and still do) call the shots as to who wins and loses, but the wrestlers communicate during the match as to what series of events/moves is coming next. So, it's not rehearsed. Other than the "spots," which are the events that are either highlights of the match (like table bumps) or important storyline elements, all action is determined by the participants as it happens.

As far as the blood is concerned. It's REAL. Pro wrestlers cut their foreheads to bleed. If you look at many vets, you'll see scars running horizontally across their foreheads.

To say wrestling is fake, and therefore, stupid, is to say all fictitious entertainment is fake, and therefore, stupid.

It's real TV wrestling. Those guys are really in shape and do their own stunts. The matches are scripted like a cheesy soap opera, along with all the antics outside the ring and backstage. Some of the injuries are real too.

the reason they changed the name to 'WWE' is to indicate exactly what it is: entertainment. although the wrestlers don't necessarily get hurt the way they should (if such strikes and submission holds are applied for real), they do exhibit strong athleticism in performing all those stunts so cut them some slack. as to the authenticity of the whole thing, however, it is totally scripted. they feed on the need of the audience to see something spectacular and that's what they show. if you want to see real fighting, i recommend ultimate fighting championship (ufc), pride fc, k-1, king of the cage and other mixed martial arts competitions. you can also check out dog brothers to see 'live sticks' competitions.

I would say it is as real as the NFL. I hear that NFL refs officate WWE matches during the off season. Not sure how true that is, but they seem to be just a blind as the WWE refs. LOL

Real in what sense? It's real in that there really are people who get into the ring and perform for an actual audience, but as far as the personalities, and the dramatics go, no, that stuff is all staged and scripted.
