Even today people are knighted by the queen although Knights as a class or order do not exist, it is suppose to be only honorary now. Can the same be said of "Samurai" of Japan?

PS: Does the elite swordsmanship training still exist in Japanese culture?

No, the whole samurai system was shut down when they got rid of the feudal government system run by feuding Shogunates and their samurai henchmen in favor of an emperor. The samurai were outlawed in the late 1800's and a regular military replaced them. Still, officers and pilots in the military often carried samurai swords at least up until WWII.

Obviously, you are relatively new to Yahoo Answers. I've seen just in the last 6 months questions posted here such as: How do I become a samurai? Where in Japan do they still live like in the movies? You know? With samurai's and castles? Can I be a samurai if I'm not Japanese?

Its all gone. The fudal system was eliminated in 1868.

There are a few families that can trace their history back to a Samurai family...but it means nothing and there is no real status attached to it.

I should mention that there are a few people who lie about their ancestry...just to impress people I guess.

There are plenty of places you can study swordsmanship. A few university students do. Sadly, dont expect ordinary Japanese to go "wow, your studying the way of the sword". People think its silly these days.
