ganguly was the one who moulded the new indian team. He always backed youngsters like sehwag,kaif,yuvraj when they were out of form. even though ganguly didnot played to his full potential during this period,he always acted as an motivator of the whole team.

Because ICB selection committee has something against Ganguly. He better be selected in World cup, otherwise Indian team is not winning world cup.

Both Ganguly and Dinesh Mongia have been playing County Cricket in the recent past. Since Dinesh Mongia has been performing better as compared to Ganguly he has been given a chance. Ganguly's form of late shows that his form is
deteriorating and as such he has not been included in the team.

only motivating someone or backing someone does not mean that u can b included in team.
to get selected in the team u need to do hard work and perform.
and where the dirty politics can lead u???
ofcourse saurav had been a good captain and a player at some point
but just due to his history he cant b allowed to spoil other players chance to perform
for selection present matters more then the past

look into the present
his performance is the criteria for the selection
and we have to make youngsters who can go for long run in the team i mean for a long time in the team not a layer who can just remain in team for a breif time.. as u see saurav's retirement is just round the corner.
and moreover all the players who r in the team right now are performing more then good i mean all are performing too good then what mean of removing them and including a non-performing player??

It is shear competition and the aging Ganguly. To make things worse, he is not on level terms with More and Greg Chappel.
His bat did score runs. His record speaks volumes of his ability. To speak your mind is not a sin. Someone remarked his mouth scores .....This is the way the legends are being treated in India. We owe something to such great players.
Can anyone tell me any better/elegant left handed batsman than Ganguly. Anyone who has played cricket or has known cricket, will definitely agree how fluent he is on the off side. Can anyone hit sixes better than Ganguly (Not even Kapil, Salim Durrani, Vengsarker, Tendulkar, Afridi, or any player you name)/
Come on friends, he deserves atleast a better treatment, if not a berth in the Indian team.

sometime motivators need to sacrifice lot, same is happening with Ganguly... because of dirty politics he is not able to get in Indian team. 10000+ runs is not joke? no comparision with Dinesh Mongia in any manner.

It is hard to believe that Sourav is out of the team for circketing reasons. A player with such potential who scored more than 10000 ODI runs deserves better treatment. They should come out in open and tell what he did with Chappell and not leave it to the media's guess
