Fish waste will feed plants, plants provide shade from sun, they can sunburn just like we can, and water will be cooler in the shelter of plants. Good symbiotic relationship.

Advantage for the water plants - Since they need water to survive, they'll live.
Disadvantage for the fish - the plants take the water that the fish need to live. they'll have trouble survive.
This is an example of competition in nature if u want extra point by ur teacher. =)

You wont have to water the plants and as for the fish they use it for shelter and also the plants will give off some fungus or something like that and the fish love it other than flakes.

Advantage for water plants: Fish waste serves as 'fertiliser' for the plants
Disadvantage for fish: At night, the water plant and fish fight for oxygen because water plants do not produce oxygen at night and they equally need oxygen to breathe.
