My wife overdosed on Tylenol last year. That was her level. She denied that the attempt was a serious one while she was in the psych ward. The doctors and nurses were very disturbed by this. She took 100 Tylenol PMs.

There are levels by which we go by as physicians for treating overdoses.
When you get over a tylenol level of a certain amt we use charcoal.
A level that high ( 400 ) would cause irreversible death of the liver, hearing loss, etc...

They probably were concerned about the toxic effects of Tylenol Also known as acetaminophen on her liver. She probably had to take a drug called mucomyst every couple of hours for a few days until her level came down. IT binds with the acetaminophen, so it doesnt whack out her liver. The maximum amount of acetaminophen in 24 hours is 4000 mg
Your wife needs to seek treatment for depression. She is not being truthful.
Good luck

I overdosed on tylenol the11th of March this year. I was in critical condition for 4 days. I couldn't bring myself to tell the doctor I was trying to kill myself. I thought this was the end. I have to admit it to my psychiatrist. I'm going to check into a mental ward when I get back from my trip.
