You mean you want 1 formula, that can be used for any figure?
Well, there is one.
The volume is obtained by the triple integral of the constant function 1 calculated on that figure(S is the integral):
SSSdxdxdz on the figure F which belongs to R^3
The same with the area of the 2-d figure:
SSdxdy on the figure G which belongs to R^2
About the total surface area..hm, gotta think about it..mb I'll answer later

volume of a cylinder=pir^2h
base area=2*pir^2
total surface area=2pir(h+r)
where 'r' is the radius and 'h' is the height
